It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to lose my brother, my partner, and my best friend. Anthony “Jinx” Jenkins passed away on May 12th, 2025 – just days after finishing what would become his final album, Shit Ain’t What It Seems.

Anthony poured everything into that project. Every lyric, every beat, every word was pure truth. He made it clear how he wanted it to sound and the overall vibe for the project, and I am honored to carry out his wishes.

Looking back, Anthony’s journey was one of courage and transformation. Born in North Platte, Nebraska, in 1994, he moved to Lincoln in 2013 to build a better life through music. We started Killing Field Records together in 2019 to give voices like ours a platform – raw, honest, and real.

From Black to Sanguine, Gold, and our duo enemyX, his sound and message evolved but always stayed true to who he was. His lyrics spoke to struggle, hope, pain, and resilience – stories only he could tell.

His passing leaves a hole in my life and the entire community, but I’m committed to preserving his legacy. Shit Ain’t What It Seems will be released, and I hope it helps supporters connect with him one last time.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Anthony, the music, and our family through this difficult time. We appreciate all the love and kindness.

Rest easy, brother. Your voice will never be forgotten.
